Seven professions may disappear as technology evolves

Are you feeling monotonous and bored with your work? If the answer is yes, you have the right to be concerned.

"Any routine work that goes in the fast track will be accomplished by mathematical algorithms in five or ten years," says author and CFO John Bugliano. At least in developed countries.'

Bogliano wrote a series of motivational books, including 'Robots Are Coming: A Guide to Human Survival for Profit in the Age of Automation'.

His list of threatened occupations includes occupations that are considered safe so far, requiring educated and trained employment, such as medicine and law.

Bogliano told BBC Spanish: 'Doctors and lawyers will not disappear. But their field of work will be partially reduced.'

Here are the seven threatened professions that will be affected by the development of technology, some of which can survive, Bogliano said.

1. Doctors
This may seem unlikely, as the need for doctors never ends. It may be on the rise as the number of older persons increases globally.

But Bugliano believes that some areas of medicine or its branches are threatened by the development of electronic diagnosis of diseases.

Doctors and paramedics in emergency departments, as well as specialists, such as surgeons, are expected to continue to be needed.

Lawyers

According to Bugliano, the number of lawyers doing routine work and arranging documents in the future will be very much lower.

Legal tasks requiring less expertise and specialization will have special computer software to carry out.

3. Architects

Computer software can already design mini buildings offline.

In the future, Bugliano believes, only architects with creative and artistic skills will survive.

Accountants

Bogliano says workers in the complex tax areas will keep their jobs. However, accountants who handle simple tax calculations will disappear because of declining demand.

5. Pilots

Drones are already replacing pilots on dangerous missions, and this will continue as wars become more dependent on electronic systems and technologies.

Police and investigators

Technological surveillance agencies have already replaced police officers carrying out surveillance work, as well as investigators who are not specialized in a specific type of crime.

Bogliano says demand for these jobs will be reduced, but they will not disappear altogether.

7- Real Estate Marketing
Websites have influenced the profits of traditional real estate marketing agencies, becoming the link between buyers and sellers.

The professions most likely to disappear in this sector are managers in the middle management circles, as technology has already replaced their jobs in several sectors of the economy.
